1. Who we are
TradeX is a trading journal application built for Indian retail traders. We help you log, analyse, and learn from your trades. TradeX is operated as an independent product.
2. What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to run the service:
- Account data: your email address, used to authenticate you via Supabase Auth.
- Trading journal data: trade details, reflections, moods, and lessons that you enter manually or import via CSV.
- Usage metadata: basic request logs (IP address, timestamps) for rate-limiting and security purposes. These are not stored long-term.
We do not collect financial account credentials, broker login details, or real-time portfolio data.
3. How we use your data
- To display your journal, analytics, and tax reports to you.
- To power the AI coaching feature (your journal content is sent to an AI model to generate responses; it is not stored by the AI provider for training).
- To calculate tax estimates (STT, brokerage, GST) based on the trade data you enter.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
We use the following sub-processors:
- Supabase: database and authentication hosting. Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure with encryption at rest.
- AI model provider: your journal content is sent to an AI API when you use the AI Analyze feature.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS encryption in transit. Access to your data is restricted to your own account via row-level security policies at the database level.
6. Data retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Export your journal data (CSV export is available in the app).
8. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication (Supabase session cookies). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
